The HR Generalist serves as a key architect in scaling HR infrastructure during a period of rapid organizational growth. This role requires a curious, process-oriented professional capable of balancing the technical rigors of payroll support, HRIS optimization, and multi-state compliance with the empathetic touch necessary for employee relations and culture building. From managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle and auditing complex leave requests to transforming manual data into insightful KPI dashboards, this position acts as the operational backbone of the HR department. Employee Relations & Experience
· Conflict Resolution: Manage performance management and disciplinary actions for individual contributors with empathy and fairness.
· Culture Champion: Champion workplace wellness and culture initiatives to drive retention.
· Training & Development: Facilitate onboarding classes and support with the delivery of HR training programs.
Operations, Benefits & Payroll
· Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including unemployment claims, workers’ comp, and job description audits.
· Financial Support: Provide critical support for bi-weekly payroll processing and assist with annual open enrollment.
· Leave Administration: Administer ADA requests, audit FMLA requests and documentation processed by our PEO.
HR Analytics & Data Integrity
· Dashboard Management: Maintain the HR KPI dashboard and generate reports that inform leadership strategy.
· Systems Optimization: Assist with HRIS troubleshooting and configuration to move us away from manual tracking.
· Documentation: Draft employment offer letters, and policy acknowledgments with high accuracy.
Onboarding & Offboarding
· Pre-Employment: Coordinate background and reference checks and communicate onboarding schedules.
· "Day 1" Readiness: Ensure new hires are set up for success by coordinating badges, logins, and equipment.
· Exits: Facilitate termination processes, routing offboarding paperwork and conducting exit interviews.
Compliance & Communication
· First Point of Contact: Serve as the primary resource for employee inquiries regarding HR processes.
· Record Keeping: Maintain digital and physical employee records in strict compliance with company policies.
· Auditing: Monitor onboarding documentation and track employee requests to ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws.
Requirements & Qualifications
· E xperience: 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably supporting multiple locations/states.
· Knowledge: Strong grasp of federal and state labor laws (FLSA, Title VII, EEOC, HIPAA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA).
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables for reporting).
· Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, a high degree of empathy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
