    This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources activities with a focus on work comp and liability claims for multi-state clubs throughout the United States. This position will also assist with semi-monthly payroll.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assist with new hire processing and on-boarding

    Support company management in personnel and HR administration

    Assist with payroll processing by established deadlines for all locations

    Assist with answering payroll related questions timely

    Manage all employee work-related injury claims and member injury claims acting as a liaison between employees, members, insurance carriers, attorneys and medical providers.

    OSHA reporting

    Assist with processing wage and employment verification forms

    Assist with employee relations issues as needed

    Work on special projects and other assignments as requested

    Other duties as assigned

    Present a professional demeanor at all times when representing the Genesis Health Clubs

    Provide input in developing strategies to support goals and objectives

    Develop and build a team atmosphere among staff and department

    Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints

    Job Requirements:

    Good understanding of state-specific Worker’s Compensation laws and OSHA regulations

    Strong interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations, negotiate settlements and advise management

    Attention to detail for filing, reporting and record-keeping

    High degree of personal and professional discretion

    Strong conflict resolution skills

    Ability to work well with others

    Strong written and oral communication skills

    1+ years payroll experience preferred but not required.

    1+ years risk management experience

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

    Ability to communicate with guests and other associates, including reading, writing and speaking
