Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to work for our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Will work with and support the HR Manager in a variety of duties related to scheduling, human resources, training, documentation, and general administrative duties.
- Closely collaborates with Talent Acquisition Team, Proposal Managers, and senior leadership as well as Project Managers and security team for measurement and metrics.
- An active secret clearance.
- B.A. degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Working knowledge of ADP Comprehensive a plus
- Previous experience in federal contracting.
- Understanding of Federal Government security clearances and 8570/8140 requirements a plus.
- Previous experience with ISO and CMMI.
- Located within the Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland area.
- Conducts employee on-boarding tasks using various portals to include ADP comprehensive HRIS.
- Supports internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department and Project/Proposal Support (e.g., conducting follow up phone calls, meeting coordination.)
- Works to compile, maintain, and organize paper, digital and electronic employee records.
- Works to compile, maintain, and organize employee records within ADP Comprehensive and SharePoint.
- Supports HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars.
- Oversees Company training initiatives for annual and intermittent courses.
- Maintains employee training database for all training and certifications.
- Assists in the coordination of logistics for new hires.
- Assists with HR events and meetings.
- Coordinates management-employee communications.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards
- Prepares and distributes correspondence and communications.
- Support documentation and template creation, including adding basic content, editing/proofreading and loading to the correct location (e.g. MS Teams or SharePoint).
- Assists Recruiting team with the recruitment and selection process.
- Will extend all written offers, NDA's and compensation agreements to potential employees and contractors
- Maintain all training and development documentation within SharePoint, including employee certifications and training courses.
Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in another HR related role.
- Must have working knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail.
- Must be able to manage multiple competing priorities, successfully balancing multiple work streams.
- Must have the ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
- Deadline focused and oriented.
- Must have excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Proficient with MS products such as: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Oral presentation experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferences:
An active secret clearance.
B.A. degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Working knowledge of ADP Comprehensive is a plus.
Previous experience in federal contracting.
Understanding of Federal Government security clearances and 8570/8140 requirements is a plus.
Previous experience with ISO and CMMI.
