    Position Overview:

    The Branch HR Generalist is a key partner to branch leadership, providing comprehensive HR support across employee relations, recruiting, compliance, performance management, and engagement. Serving as the first point of contact for HR matters at the branch, this role ensures alignment with corporate HR strategies while addressing the unique needs of the local workforce. The ideal candidate is proactive, bilingual in English and Spanish, and skilled at building strong, trusting relationships that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

    Compensation: $80 - $90k annual

    Key Responsibilities

    HR

    • Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) support.
    • Conduct employee relations investigations and document findings.
    • Advise branch and field leaders on performance management, compliance, and workplace conduct.
    • Analyze branch HR metrics (turnover, retention, attendance) and recommend improvements.
    • Support employee development and training initiatives, including safety and technical programs.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
    • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and respect across field and branch teams.
    • Provide labor relations and CBA support to management.
    • Strengthen communication and collaboration between branch operations and corporate HR.

    Recruiting

    • Support full-cycle recruiting for janitorial, maintenance, and field-service roles.
    • Participate in job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach efforts.
    • Maintain accurate candidate records and requisitions within the ATS.
    • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including safety orientations and documentation.
    • Greet and process walk-in applicants.

    Administrative & Operational Support

    • Assist with benefits support, employment verifications, and paycheck distribution.
    • Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
    • Respond to employee questions and direct them to appropriate HR resources.
    • Support I-9 audits, HRIS data entry, and compliance tracking.
    • Serve as a professional, welcoming point of contact for employees, visitors, and applicants.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of HR or administrative experience required; 4+ years preferred, ideally in field-service environments.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/ATS platforms.
    • Valid driver’s license; local travel and occasional overnight travel required.
    • Knowledge of California employment law and safety regulations (OSHA / Cal/OSHA) preferred.
    • Collective bargaining and union relations experience a plus.
