Human Resources Generalist – Second Shift

We are currently partnering with a manufacturing organization in the Somerset, Kentucky area that is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support Second Shift operations. This role will serve as the primary HR presence for the Second Shift team and will play an important role supporting employee relations, staffing, onboarding, and general HR support for the evening shift team.
This position is highly visible on Second Shift and will work closely with team members, supervisors, and leadership to address workplace concerns, provide guidance on company policies, and help maintain a positive work environment during Second Shift hours.
Key responsibilities include supporting employees and leadership on Second Shift with HR-related questions and employee relations matters, assisting with staffing and onboarding, conducting new hire orientations and exit interviews, and helping coordinate employee events and engagement activities. The role will also assist with internal investigations related to policy violations and workplace issues as needed, primarily supporting Second Shift team members.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience), strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. Experience with HR systems and Excel is helpful, and the ability to work independently while supporting Second Shift operations is important for success in this role.
