Smith Industries is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role will support a wide range of HR functions, including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations, while helping streamline HR processes and improve employee experiences across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for onboarding and offboarding processes, including all aspects of new hire documentation, orientation, and benefits enrollment.
Assist with recruitment efforts, job postings, interview scheduling, and pre-employment checks.
Administer employee benefits programs and support open enrollment activities.
Review timecards, payroll data, and ensure accurate weekly and monthly reporting.
Prepares weekly payroll, properly tracking PTO and deduction updates.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including I-9 documentation.
Support performance reviews, employee relations, and disciplinary processes.
Perform regular HRIS data audits and support HR process improvements.
Maintain organizational charts and HR records in both digital and physical formats.
Provide general HR support and assist with special projects as needed.
Performs other HR duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
3-5 years of experience in HR administration, payroll, or benefits coordination preferred.
Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with attention to detail.
