Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support human resources operations within a fast-paced distribution center environment. This role partners with leadership to drive recruiting, employee relations, compliance, training, and associate engagement while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting multiple priorities across all shifts.
Responsibilities
Human Resources Operations
- Support all HR functions within the distribution center
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard hourly and salaried associates
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities
- Maintain employee files and records in compliance with company and legal requirements
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics, including turnover, hiring activity, and corrective actions
- Generate reports and HR data as needed
- Coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs
- Conduct exit interviews and identify opportunities to improve retention
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Provide employee relations support across all shifts
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies and procedures
- Support safety initiatives and workers' compensation processes
- Represent the company during investigations and hearings when necessary
- Maintain labor law postings and associate communications
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
Training & Leadership Support
- Assist in coaching and developing HR administrative staff
- Support payroll administration, attendance tracking, and incentive programs
- Administer leave programs, including FMLA, LOA, and ADA documentation
- Help develop and facilitate training programs for associates and supervisors
- Partner with leadership to support organizational growth and change initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
- PHR certification is a plus
- Previous Human Resources experience required; distribution center or manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, workers' compensation, and HR compliance
- Understanding of federal and state employment laws
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Flexibility to support all shifts as business needs require
