    Overview

    Our State Farm agency is seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR / Payroll Specialist to support payroll, benefits, and HR operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance while providing excellent support to our team members.

    Responsibilities

    Process semi-monthly, multi-state payroll and monthly commissions

    Review and audit timecards, schedules, PTO, and payroll records

    Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, and direct deposits

    Serve as the main contact for payroll, timekeeping, and benefits questions

    Train team members on HR/payroll system usage

    Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and leave administration

    Support compliance efforts related to payroll, benefits, and labor laws

    Maintain confidential personnel records and prepare basic reports

    Qualifications

    2+ years of payroll experience (multi-state preferred)

    Experience with benefits administration and leave management

    Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, and compliance requirements

    Experience with cloud-based payroll systems (ADP, Paycom, Paychex, ProLiant, etc.)

    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
