With a reputation for quality products and a strong company culture, we are seeking a hands-on HR Manager to support our multi-site operations and lead key HR initiatives across our factory and retail locations.
Position Overview:
The HR Manager will play a critical role in managing core HR functions across our Boston, MA and Walpole, NH locations. This individual will be responsible for end-to-end payroll administration, seasonal hiring support, and employee relations. This is an onsite role based either in Walpole or Boston, with regular travel between locations depending on your home base:
• Boston-based candidates must be able to travel to Walpole once per week.
• Walpole-based candidates will be required to travel to Boston approximately twice per month.
This role is best suited for an HR professional who thrives in a dynamic, people-first environment and has experience working in retail, manufacturing, or CPG industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and process payroll for hourly and salaried employees (Paylocity experience preferred, but ADP is acceptable)
• Oversee employee onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance across both locations
• Collaborate with department heads to recruit and onboard seasonal staff for factory and retail operations
• Serve as a resource for employee relations, conflict resolution, and HR policy guidance
• Maintain employee records and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws
• Lead or support ongoing HR projects such as training programs, performance evaluations, and engagement initiatives
• Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture in line with company values
• Serve as a liaison between corporate and site leadership teams
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• 4+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1–2 years handling payroll administration
• Experience using Paylocity, ADP, or comparable payroll systems
• Prior experience recruiting or managing seasonal/temporary workforces preferred
• Industry experience in CPG, retail, or manufacturing is a significant plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Must be comfortable working onsite 5 days a week, with regular travel between Boston and Walpole locations
