We are seeking a structured, execution-focused Human Resources Manager to administer the firm’s human resources functions and support leadership through consistent, compliant, and well-documented HR practices.

This role is responsible for day-to-day HR administration and compliance while ensuring policies and procedures are implemented accurately and consistently. The position requires professionalism, discretion, and strong follow-through in a regulated, professional services environment.

    This is an on-site position.

The Human Resources Manager supports firm leadership by administering HR systems, payroll coordination, employee onboarding, benefits administration, compliance tracking, and employee relations support. The role focuses on execution, documentation, and compliance rather than independent decision-making.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain the firm’s human resources systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, access controls, and proper documentation

Process and administer bi-weekly payroll, including review of timekeeping, corrections, retroactive pay, and prorations, in coordination with the firm’s payroll provider

Support recruiting and hiring efforts by coordinating background checks, employment verification, onboarding, and completion of new-hire documentation

    Administer employee benefits

Complete and maintain Form I-9 and E-Verify records in compliance with federal and Florida requirements

Support disciplinary and termination processes in accordance with firm policy and applicable law, including preparing documentation and coordinating offboarding procedures

Assist with sensitive human resources matters such as reasonable accommodation requests, workplace investigations, attendance and performance issues, and employee relations concerns, ensuring appropriate documentation and escalation

Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date personnel files and HR records in accordance with record-retention requirements

Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by administering policies as written and identifying potential compliance risks for leadership review

Stay informed of changes in employment laws, regulatory requirements, and human resources best practices relevant to a professional services environment

Prepare and provide HR-related reports, tracking, and follow-up to support firm leadership and operational oversight

Assist the President and COO with firm operations and building facilities as needed.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree

5-7 years of human resources management experience preferred, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment

Working knowledge of Florida employment law and HR compliance requirements

Experience with payroll and HR systems such as ADP

Strong documentation, organization, and follow-through skills

High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive matters

    E-Verify Participation:

This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. If E-Verify cannot confirm that you are authorized to work, this employer is required to give you written instructions and an opportunity to contact Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Social Security Administration (SSA) so you can begin to resolve the issue before the employer can take any action against you, including terminating your employment.
