    The HR Recruiter/Generalist supports Vermillion's Human Resources function with primary responsibility for recruiting, onboarding, and day-to-day HR administration. This position manages full-cycle recruiting and partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract and evaluate qualified candidates, and support effective hiring decisions.

    In addition to talent acquisition responsibilities, the HR Recruiter/Generalist administers assigned HR processes, including attendance and PTO, HRIS maintenance, employee records, and new-hire orientation. This position requires strong organization, accuracy, confidentiality, follow-through, and the ability to build effective relationships with candidates, employees, and managers throughout the organization.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including job postings, candidate sourcing, applicant screening, interviewing, interview coordination, candidate communication, offers, and pre-employment activities.
    • Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, staffing priorities, and candidate qualifications.
    • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through job boards, referrals, schools, workforce partners, career fairs, community resources, and other recruiting sources.
    • Coordinate pre-employment requirements and ensure all required documentation is completed before hire.
    • Conduct and coordinate new-hire orientation and onboarding activities.
    • Process employee job transactions, including hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and other employee status changes.
    • Enter and maintain accurate employee information in CSI and other applicable HR systems.
    • Administer employee attendance and PTO processes, including tracking, documentation, employee inquiries, and applicable system updates.
    • Maintain accurate and complete personnel files, employee records, recruiting documentation, and other HR records.
    • Respond to routine employee questions regarding HR processes, policies, attendance, PTO, and other employment matters, escalating issues to the Human Resources Manager when appropriate.
    • Assist with employee communications, forms, letters, reports, and other HR documentation.
    • Prepare and maintain recruiting, turnover, attendance, and other routine HR reports and metrics.
    • Participate in career fairs, recruiting events, school partnerships, and community outreach activities.
    • Support employee engagement, recognition, training, and other HR programs as assigned.
    • Assist the Human Resources Manager with HR projects and initiatives.
    • Maintain confidentiality and appropriately safeguard employee and company information.
    • Ensure assigned HR transactions and records are completed accurately and timely.
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or a minimum of two years of relevant Human Resources and/or recruiting experience required.
    • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, employee transactions, HRIS systems and HR administration preferred.
    • Manufacturing or technical-industry HR experience preferred.
    • Working knowledge of general Human Resources practices and applicable employment requirements.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; HRIS and applicant tracking system experience preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee information.
    • Strong follow-through, dependability, and accountability.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate matters to the Human Resources Manager.
