    Human Resources Specialist (Warehouse Operations)

    Pay: Salary $60,000 - $80,000 based on experience

    The Human Resources Specialist supports daily HR and payroll functions in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. This role is responsible for employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, compliance, and HR administration, working closely with warehouse leadership to support hourly and salaried employees across multiple shifts.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Payroll & Timekeeping

    • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried warehouse employees

    • Review and approve timecards, overtime, shift differentials, and attendance records

    • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay inquiries

    • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, union agreements (if applicable), and company policies

    • Coordinate payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, promotions, and leaves

    Recruitment & Onboarding

    • Support high-volume recruiting for warehouse and operations roles

    • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and assist with hiring decisions

    • Conduct new-hire orientation and onboarding

    • Maintain accurate hiring and onboarding documentation

    Employee Relations

    • Serve as a primary HR contact for employee questions related to pay, benefits, policies, and attendance

    • Assist with employee investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution

    • Partner with supervisors to address performance and attendance issues

    HR Administration

    • Maintain HRIS, payroll systems, and personnel files

    • Track attendance, PTO, leaves of absence, and employee status changes

    • Support benefits administration and open enrollment

    Compliance & Safety

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA)

    • Assist with workers' compensation claims and safety reporting

    • Support internal audits and HR reporting requirements

    Training & Development

    • Coordinate safety, compliance, and warehouse training programs

    • Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

    • 2–4 years of HR experience with payroll processing, preferably in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment

    • Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll best practices

    • Experience supporting an hourly, shift-based workforce

    • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Paychex, or similar)

    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

    • SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus
