BILINGUAL ENGLISH/SPANISH HIGHLY DESIRABLE

We are seeking a professional and organized Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Kenner. In this role, you will serve as a key support function within our HR department, managing employee relations, recruitment coordination, and administrative HR functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting our employees and organizational goals.

• Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding of new employees
• Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Provide support to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace procedures in a professional and empathetic manner
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies through proper documentation and record-keeping
• Respond to employee inquiries and resolve HR-related issues in a timely and supportive manner
• Prepare HR reports and maintain HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BILINGUAL ENGLISH/SPANISH HIGHLY DESIRABLE

• 'People Person'; outgoing

• 2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources role or related HR function

• Proficiency with HRIS software

• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of employees

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
