    Insero Talent Solutions is thrilled to partner with a Rochester-based company in their search for a Human Resources & Accounting Specialist to join their team.

    The Human Resources & Accounting Specialist reports into the Director of Finance and plays a key role in supporting both the human resources and accounting functions of the organization. This position provides hands-on, day-to-day operational support to ensure the business runs efficiently and employees are well supported. Working closely with leadership and team members across departments, the Specialist assists with accounting and payroll processes, employee onboarding, and general administrative support.


    Responsibilities:

    Human Resources

    • Maintain accurate employee records, files, and HR databases for full- and part-time employees.
    • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including paperwork, orientations, and system setup.
    • Assist with recruitment efforts such as posting jobs, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
    • Provide responsive support to employees regarding payroll, benefits, and policy questions.
    • Track training completion, compliance documentation, and safety records.

      Payroll Administration

    • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
    • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with internal policies and reporting requirements.
    • Track vacation, sick time, and leaves of absence.
    • Prepare and update reports related to payroll activity and personnel changes.
    • Support general HR and accounting functions as needed across departments.

    Finance & Accounting

    • Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, deposits, and reconciliations.
    • Prepare and post journal entries; assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
    • Help monitor cash transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and support audits.
    • Partner with leadership on reporting, variance analysis, and other financial projects as needed.
    • Assist with event settlements and revenue tracking for special programs or activities.
    • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing.


    Requirements:

    • Associates degree with focus in accounting, finance, business, preferred.
    • 2+ years of office management, accounting, human resources experience.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Microsoft Office experience, required. Experience working with Excel, required (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic formulas, a plus).
    • Highly self-motivated.

  • Compensation
    $50,000-$60,000 per year
