Our story began as a Presbyterian Orphanage in Lynchburg, home of the legendary Shoeless Wonders and we continue to build on more than 100 years of faithful service to strengthen the individuals, children and families all across the Commonwealth.

The tireless warriors of our Therapeutic Foster Care program are expanding their services to the Richmond area and we are seeking to fill the crucial role of Program Manager in our newly established office.

This position demands a highly energetic team player with amazing organizational capabilities and will include program start-up responsibilities, extensive marketing, recruitment and training of prospective foster parents as well as case management of foster care children and supporting the families.

Thorough knowledge of modern theories and techniques of child care, family services and community resources, licensing standards, records management, confidentiality, team work, supervision, Departments of Social Services/CSA, basic counseling and crisis intervention techniques. Preferred characteristics include management and TFC program experience.

Flexible schedule is a must as weekends and evenings will be required along with 24 hour on-call availability and the ability to work independently. Travel to Lynchburg will be required for training and other program related needs as necessary. Requirements:
• Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or equivalent Human Services field and five years’ experience in a Child Placing Agency.
• Master’s degree preferred
• Consent to TB assessment and/or test, provide TB Free documentation
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
• Complete all required background checks
• Successfully pass drug test
