    Job Summary

    Chesterton Academy of The Divine Family, a joyfully Catholic, classical high school in the Chesterton Schools Network, seeks a passionate and mission-driven Humanities Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year.

    The successful candidate will inspire students to seek truth, beauty, and goodness through the integrated study of literature, history, theology, Latin, and philosophy. As a member of a vibrant faculty culture, you will help form not just scholars, but saints and citizens rooted in the intellectual and moral tradition of the Catholic Church.

    Responsibilities

    Teach two or more core humanities subjects: History, Literature, Theology, Latin, or Philosophy

    Use primary texts, Socratic discussion, and classical methodology in the classroom

    Integrate Catholic faith and reason in every subject

    Guide students in developing clarity of thought, articulate expression, and moral reasoning

    Participate in the school’s House system, supporting virtue formation and school culture

    Attend daily Mass with students and model a life of joyful discipleship

    Serve as a mentor and witness, fostering student virtue and vocation discernment

    Collaborate with other faculty to maintain a unified, mission-centered curriculum

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Literature, Theology, Latin, Classics, or a related field

    1–3 years of high school teaching experience preferred

    Familiarity with or passion for Catholic classical education

    Practicing Roman Catholic willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium

    Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

    Deep commitment to evangelizing through education and forming the whole person
