    Job Description JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting on federal government affairs initiatives in a fast-paced environment, working with the entire Regulatory Affairs team. This position will report to the Senior Vice President Regulatory Affairs. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience Spot issues and disseminate timely information to Regulatory team, and complete additional projects as needed Schedule and coordinate meetings with federal policymakers, internal and external stakeholders, and others, including organizing and managing meeting logistics Research and draft policy updates, FCC meeting summaries, and other issues as needed Monitor and track federal register publications Complete monthly expense reports, arrange travel and provide administrative support for office and networking-related events Perform other duties as requested by supervisor REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to manage both up and down Demonstrated knowledge of the federal regulatory process, federal agencies and relevant third parties and associations Strong researcher and writer with the ability to interpret Washington for a variety of audiences Effective organizational capabilities with a focus on detail and precision Goal-oriented team player with desire to complement a fun and dynamic team atmosphere Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously with competing deadlines Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel, Word REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in business, political science or related field or equivalent experience REQUIRED RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE AND NUMBER OF YEARS Political/government experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE AND NUMBER OF YEARS 12-18 months experience in government affairs environment WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment Travel as required Exposure to moderate noise levels
