    JOB DESCRIPTION

    FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Business Systems Analyst I in Jacksonville, FL to formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.  Devise and modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time and form of desired results including an analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.  Analyze marketplace, industry, company, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services. Identify and document business strategies, objectives, and drivers.  Analyze and document business processes and metrics and identify improvement opportunities.  Calculate and estimate costs and benefits of alternative actions and solutions to establish viability or return on investment (ROI). Re-engineer processes to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.  Identify and document how applications and systems interact to support business processes.  Assess, apply, and project the impact of system changes on users, internal and external clients, or stakeholders.  Write test plans and test cases to ensure changes are made to the application to meet client needs and application integrity. Report and review testing results.  Conduct a variety of tests including system integration, readiness, and acceptance tests. Verify and ensure through testing that changes made by programmers to one part of the application do not impact other parts.  Analyze business implications of the implementation of technology applications.

    REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation: estimating work effort for project sub-plans and small projects; supporting software development in the financial services industry; working knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux commands; performing software development during the systems implementation life cycle; performing system improvements utilizing best practices with Agile-Kanban and Scrum Waterfall; researching reported issues; monitoring and  addressing compliance related matters documenting configuration using Adobe acrobat editor; and changing and tracking management certificate updates across platforms.
