    Job Description JOB SCOPE The Video on Demand (VOD) Tier 4 Operations Intern will primarily focus on operational performance data analysis with intent to quickly identify improvement opportunities & deploy automation solutions to address without human intervention. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Daily outage review and data collection
    • Identify performance trends & outage drivers utilizing analytics technologies
    • Work with Sr Engineers to determine key performance focus areas
    • Determine automation design options
    • Present problem statements & design options to automate
    • Work with Sr Engineers to deploy automation solutions
    • Document solution & supporting processes
    • Provide team overview & training as needed

    BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree (or pursuing) - Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or equivalent technical field or work experience
    • Ability to & interest in quickly learning appropriate level of Video on Demand technology with intent of applying learned skills to drive operational efficiencies through data analytics & automations
    • Knowledge of data analytics / automations methodologies & available tools to support
    • Presentation skills & working experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

    ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Understanding and / or working experience with multiple analytics technologies such as Predictive analytics, Data structures, Big Data,Data Warehousing,Cloud Computing, Databases (ex. SQL, mySQL), Splunk
    • Understanding and / or working experience with multiple automations technologies such as Scripting & Development tools (Shell Script, Python, Chef, GIT), Ansible (Redhat),VMWare, Kubernetes and / or Containerization
