SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERN (12-WEEK PAID INTERNSHIP)

Humatics has developed a breakthrough micro-location system that will revolutionize how people and machines locate, navigate and collaborate. Humatics was founded on a simple, yet powerful belief that growth in the industrial world will only be achieved by eliminating the blind spots in your operation so you know exactly when, where and how all your moving things move.

Humatics Microlocation technology creates highly-precise real time location data for high value objects to enable three dimensional control and visibility. This data can be streamed in real time for use in any control system to enable many different types of use cases.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

At Humatics, you will create a positive and lasting impact on the business and will receive support, coaching, and training from a diverse group of engineers.

The accessibility and ease of use of our technology by customers is important to us; this sometimes involves building software that handles complexity for customers as they integrate our products into their automation workflows.  You will be responsible for implementing dynamic and time interpolated transform functionality for use in real-world scenarios involving robots and tracked rigid bodies in motion.

WHO YOU ARE

• You are a graduate student earning your Masters in Computer Science/Engineering or Robotics
• You are self-motivated and creative with a passion for technology, collaboration and creative problem-solving
• You have solid skills in linear algebra and coordinate frame transformations
• You have experience authoring code in C and C++
• You understand and apply methodologies for writing thread-safe code

BONUS SKILLS

• You have experience with sensor fusion, particularly in time-alignment of sensor data
• You have hands-on experience using robotic arms
