Job Description

Responsibilities for this position will include: creating and writing content (copy, graphics, editing video/photos) for our website, social media accounts, and newsletters. Other key parts of this job will be customer relations and outreach through tradeshows.

Qualifications

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to interview scientific professionals (both inside and outside the company) and summarize scientific and technical topics concisely in common terms
• Strong wordsmithing skills
• Proficient in creating original graphics using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar programs
• Experience with WordPress and/or other website building tools
• Ability to deal effectively with multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Ability to self-manage tasks and schedule, work independently and accurately track details.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BA/BS degree. A science/technical background is strongly preferred (chemistry, physics, biology, engineering)
• Technical writing/grant writing are a plus
• Editing

Additional Information

Excellent references from previous direct supervisors are a must.
