We deliver secure, high-quality language solutions in 80+ spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.

    We are seeking Hungarian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Hungarian, a Uralic language spoken in Hungary and across Central/Eastern Europe, is a priority European language often needed in asylum, refugee, and immigration-related cases.

    Responsibilities

    Provide real-time Hungarian ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.

    Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and cultural sensitivity in immigration and asylum contexts.

    Maintain confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter ethics standards.

    Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation calls.

    Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits

    Qualifications

    Native or near-native fluency in Hungarian and English.

    2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, community, medical, legal, or government preferred).

    Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and neutrality standards.

    Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
