    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position will be expected to perform administrative responsibilities, to support the Maintenance Department and Parts & Warehouse areas of the Company. This position processes orders, accepts deliveries, and keeps the warehouse organized, which includes physically moving product around the warehouse space to properly maintaining all shipping and receiving records, which will demand high attention to detail and the use of independent judgment, within policy and/or procedural guidelines. This position will report to the Purchasing Manager and will provide support to additional maintenance staff as needed. This position will assist with acquiring specific parts/equipment/tools, services and supplies as needed for daily/weekly maintenance for the mill.

    JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Complies with all company and department safety, quality, productivity, and security procedures.
    • Receives routine purchase orders and stock shelves with parts and equipment.
    • Manages inventory using software such as MS Excel and MS Outlook
    • Ensures all shipping/receiving documentation and related reports are up to date.
    • Accurately fill and/or ship orders in a timely manner.
    • Assist personnel with problems they have with any parts or supplies.
    • Ship parts out for repair; maintain efficient repair records.
    • Run and proof reorder reports.
    • Unload freight trucks by safely operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
    • Requisition parts that are not stock items
    • Maintain fire extinguishers.
    • Keep the warehouse in safe operating condition.
    • Keep unauthorized personnel out of warehouse.
    • Maintain good housekeeping.
    • Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
    • Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved.
    • Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
    • Organize the warehouse in such a manner to facilitate easy verification and movement of stock.
    • Once trained, timely booking in of all raw materials and in-coming goods.
    • Maintain good housekeeping.
    • Ensure daily / monthly KPI's are met.
    • Health & Safety Awareness
    • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or plant superintendent.

    • Position is associated with pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, reaching, stretching, and working in tight positions.
    • The employee is frequently required to lift 10 to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift over 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to carry over 50 pounds.
    • Inside Conditions: Extremes of heat (100+ seasonal), humidity, working in tight areas, and noise (from production machinery).
    • This position warrants continuous walking, twisting, bending, stooping, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to work in an environment that is dusty, dirty, oily, noisy, hot, and humid.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • 2-5 years' warehouse experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of lumber manufacturing processes and equipment
