    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position will be expected to support operating areas and projects through the application of technical engineering knowledge and project management skills. These areas of support may include:

    • Optimizing processes to deliver maximum value, safely, and reliably.

    • Proficient in supporting operations through process improvement and data management.

    • Providing technical support for operations through data analysis, employee work groups, root cause analysis and overall leadership support.

    • Use technology for problem solving and process improvement.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Duties will include, but not be limited to:

    • This position utilizes both Industrial Engineering and Process Improvement skill sets.

    • Excellent people skills, oral and written communication with outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Ability to interact effectively in multi person environment. Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks is required. Must be able to give attention to detail.

    • Must be able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks/reporting as required.

    • Advanced problem-solving skills.

    • Position will combine formal training, on the job competency development, mentoring, and multiple job assignments.

    • This position will develop competencies for designing and maintaining plant process development in quality, operational efficiency, overall process improvement, and data management. This would support activities ranging from process control networks and process automation systems, employee training, leadership support.

    • Support operating facility through application of broad fundamental technical engineering knowledge and project execution skills.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    • Knowledge of the practical application of process control, improvement practice, technical and computer knowledge, electronic data gathering and analysis.

    • General experience in Industrial Control Systems and Process control systems.

    • Technical capacity with an aptitude for math and statistics

    • Problem solving/analysis and investigative skills.

    • Client relationship and communication proficiency (oral and written)

    • Self-motivated and ability to multi-task

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in either Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial

    Engineering.

    • 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably plant or mill experience.

    • Experience in Industrial Control Systems, process control networking

    • Experience working within a lumber processing operation preferred.
