Seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a growing manufacturer that has aggressive growth plans to become the biggest manufacturer in their industry. This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the reliability and structural design of the product.

Responsibilities:

Prepare design specifications, and recommendations. Design / redesign products, develop new products, improve performance, and/or reduce cost

Design products for manufacturability, reliability and assembly.

Planning, organizing and completing projects for design and development.

Testing and structural analysis of product.

Cross functional project coordination of designs through approval, change implementation and from design to production.

Coordinate drafters / designers, engineering technicians and assembly personnel

Qualifications:  

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required

5+ years experience as a design engineer in appliances, air conditioning, refrigeration, hvac or comparable products

Knowledge of structural design and reliability testing.

Knowledge and experience with CAD software.

Knowledge and experience with structural analysis software.

Knowledge and experience in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Experience in design management (reviewing drawings, models, and Bill of Materials)

Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements such as NSF, UL, DOE

Knowledge and experience with SAP is preferred but not required.
