  • Responsibilities

    Hunter Gibbons has a contract position for a .Net Developer in Atlanta. This is a long-term contract. Our client is currently interviewing, so send resume immediately for consideration.

    Requirements:

    • Designing and developing new functionalities for Client’s applications
    • Coordinating closely with management, business owners, and vendor of these applications providing expertise in logical data modeling and application implementation
    • Reviewing/modifying database structures, capacity planning, migration, security and authorization, and backup and recovery
    • Keeping applications up and running
    • Coordinating change management with vendor as needed
    • Technical support (first and second tier) for all applications providing resolutions to issues received through IT’s ticket system

    Responsibilities

    • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
    • Design, build, configure, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
    • Integrate data storage solutions
    • Ensure best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
    • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and resolve those issues
    • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
    • Manage the day-to-day tasks related to maintaining a successful application environment (list is not exhaustive)
    • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of applications
    • Enrolling users and maintaining system security
    • Controlling and monitoring user access to applications
    • Contacting vendor for technical support
    • Assist vendor with application design (upgrades and new modules/components)
    • Modifying the database structure and application, as necessary, based on guidance from vendor if needed
    • Assist SMEs with training users in application use
    • Manage support tickets relating to applications

    Required Skills (absolutely necessary to perform the job)

    • Candidate must be highly proficient in these skill sets:
    • ASP.Net MVC5
    • ASP.Net WebAPI 2
    • Entity Famework 6
    • jQuery
    • SQL Server or SQL Azure
    • Analysis and Business Processes
    • Testing (manual and automated)
    • Solution Building and Implementation Options
    • Business Communication and Readiness

    Preferred Skills

    • In addition to the Required Skills, candidates will be given top consideration for possessing skills in the following areas:

    Required Qualifications

    • Must be able to pass a background check
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience in building .Net applications and/or database management systems
    • Associate degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience in building .Net applications and/or database management systems
    • Application/Database development certifications and six (6) years of experience in building .Net applications and/or database management systems
    • Must provide an example (PowerPoint presentation or URL to an application that candidate was the lead or second lead developer)
