    ABOUT THE UI DEVELOPER INTERN POSITION

    Hunter Strategy is looking for an experienced UI Developer to create amazing user experiences to help persons with Disabilities have equal access to some of the most important education tools on the market today. 

    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? An individual keen in clean and artful design and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, creating beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.     WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON (PROJECTS):

    • Education Accessibility Research

      • Help make assessment applications for students work for persons with disabilities
      • Work alongside some of the best and brightest accessibility researchers

    UI DEVELOPER INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

    • Work together with accessibility research team and engineering to build innovative solutions for product accessibility in complex user experience paradigms. 
    • Develop original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
    • Discuss designs and key milestone deliverables with peers and executive level stakeholders
    • Perform user research and evaluate user feedback
    • Set design guidelines, best practices and standards
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies

    UI DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS ARE:

    • Must be a US Citizen
    • 1+ years' experience of working on a UI Designer position
    • Familiarity in AWS/Azure
    • UI design skills with a solid portfolio of design projects
    • Understanding of Accessibility Concepts
    • Familiarity with JAWS/NVDA/Voiceover Screen Readers
    • Good practical experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
    • Strong visual design skills with good understanding of user-system interaction
    • Strong presentational and team player abilities
    • Strong problem-solving skills with creative approach
    • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
    • Currently pursuing: BS or MS degree
