We are offering the opportunity to get involved on the ground floor of our growing business and lead our newest department. We are seeking to hire a land survey manager with a passion for land development to help launch our land surveying department. In recent years we have subcontracted hundreds of thousands of dollars to local surveying firms to support our civil engineering department. To provide our clients with a more streamlined and cost-effective service we are looking to bring land surveying in-house. As our first Land Survey Manager, you would help oversee the launch of our new department. You would be responsible for managing all aspects of our land surveying contracts both in support of our civil engineering department and standalone jobs. The department must initially serve DC and Virginia clients with expansion into Maryland on the horizon. The position would be based out of our Reston, VA office. You would have the option to work out of the office or at home when not out in the field. Initially, you would be the sole employee of the surveying department and expected to complete the field and office work required for each survey. Staff engineers and CAD technicians will be available as needed to assist in the field. The position offers great growth potential as you will be part of the strategic decision-making process on expanding the department and potentially hiring additional staff to support the department's growth.
