POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will be responsible for providing adequate engineering and maintenance support to operations in order to enable them to achieve their goals. Incumbent will lead the local internal and external resources to deliver capital projects as per BU plans.

JOB SCOPE

1. This position will take responsibility for all engineering and maintenance activities in the IFF Indonesia sites and will report to the Flavors Operation Director administratively and the Regional Engineering Manager functionally. This position will work closely with local operations, local EH&S, QA/QC and supply chain regarding technical matters. Capital projects will be defined by regional operational management based on a regional master plan. Regarding maintenance, this position will work in conformance with a basic maintenance policy under guidance from regional E&M manager, managing maintenance resources and developing the maintenance organization in the various IFF Indonesia sites. 
2. Incumbents’ primary responsibility in the short term would be to manage IFF’s Master Plan Phase 2 project, to relocate all manufacturing activities from Otista to Karawang. Primary Role and Responsibilities
3. Managing capital projects from concept stage to handover to customer. Responsible for budget control, planning control and project quality.
4. Will be the representative of IFF when dealing with external consultants and engineers as required during the course of projects.
5. Will be responsible to ensure scope, time, cost and quality objectives are met for multiple projects that are assigned to him/her.
6. Managing plant maintenance resources, focusing on minimizing asset downtime, maximizing asset reliability and cost control.
7. Development of maintenance function/organization in the various IFF Indonesia sites, according to agreed development plan with regional E&M manager.
8. Pro-activeness in identifying opportunities for improvement in operations and taking appropriate actions.
9. Support operations and other departments (e.g. EH&S) in technical matters upon request.
10. Ensuring that contractor work is properly controlled in terms of quality, GMP rules and safety.
11. Preparing an annual capital project plan, preparing individual investment requests (working closely with other disciplines) and reporting project progress to superiors.

Required Experience

1. Between 7-10 years in the multinational companies leading projects or engineering function
2. Should have managed capital asset investment projects in chemical, pharma or related industries of USD 50-75 mio in the capacity of project manager
