Job Description
· Manage substation and transmission engineering efforts.
· Provide leadership guidance and instruction to other members of the project team.
· Attend client and community meetings.
· Participate in and contribute to the project status meeting.
· Work with government agencies and public authorities as required to provide support for land surveying and mapping.
· Provide assistance to BGE to develop permit applications.
· Aid in community outreach efforts.
· Manage procurement documentation for all contractors to be hired (e.g., scopes of work, technical specifications, bid evaluations).
· Responsibility for contract compliance and administration on contracts associated with the project.
· Manage technical specifications as required to support the permitting process.
· Provide support during construction to respond to Requests for Information (RFI’s) and coordinate with required groups to prepare final as-built drawings.
· Support testimony and attendance to public meetings as required to support the permitting process.
· Coordinate with BGE’s engineer to facilitate final review when all design is complete.
· Manage project estimates, budgets and costs, provide explanations for Monthly Variances.
· Acknowledge budget changes by signing budget change orders.
· Responsible for coordinating the testing and commissioning process, participates in decision-making (including signing off on all plans) and serves as the primary BGE interface for issue resolution.
· Responsible for the complete close-out for their assigned projects.
Qualifications
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Engineering, or related
· 2-6 Years’ Experience
