Our growing HVAC company is looking for a problem solver with a can-do attitude and a proven record of installation experience in the HVAC field. You are an accomplished HVAC install tech who will meet clients at their home or place of business to troubleshoot, diagnose, and safely install a variety of HVAC equipment. You’ll also be responsible for installing indoor air quality and control systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must in this dynamic role, as you’ll be working with industry professionals and customers. You have the technical skills to read and apply blueprints, codes, and manuals to any job, and are comfortable with using HVAC power and hand tools to get the job done. Responsibilities: • Enter completed projects and the parts used into database • Use electrical testing equipment to check electrical circuits and components • Comply with all applicable standards, codes, policies, and safety procedures • Communicate with clients on how to properly use and maintain their new equipment • Inspect all pipes, tubing joints, and connections for leaks • Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems from changeouts to new cut-ins. • Install flex or metal ductwork. • Design, draw, and place orders for custom sheet metal materials. • Lead other installers or helpers in an installation job. • Train junior installers. Qualifications: • Excellent math, people, and problem-solving skills • Working knowledge of low voltage electrical wiring and high voltage connections • Earned HVAC school degree and 2+ years experience working in the field as an installer • High school diploma or GED required • Applicant must have all required local and state appliance HVAC tech licenses Experience: • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, specifically within residential and light commercial sectors. • Proficient in installing, servicing, and troubleshooting HVAC systems, including ductwork and refrigeration systems. Certifications: • Valid HVAC certification or license as required by local and state regulations. • Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608, NATE) are a plus. Technical Skills: • Strong understanding of HVAC systems’ components and functionality. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. • Proficient in using tools and equipment required for HVAC installation and maintenance. Work Ethic: • Must maintain a drug-free workplace status and pass drug screening. • Dependable with a strong commitment to completing jobs safely and effectively. Leadership & Communication: • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train or mentor junior staff. • Open to learning and applying company-specific installation processes and techniques. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Compensation: $80,000+ yearly plus commissions
