Our growing HVAC company needs a service tech to meet clients at their home or place of business to troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix HVAC equipment. Responsibilities: • Present customers with a total for the HVAC services, repairs, and installation • Test newly installed components to ensure proper function • Fulfill preventative maintenance and warranty services for customers • Perform maintenance and installation of HVAC equipment in homes and businesses • Interpret and apply electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and wiring diagrams As a Senior Service Technician, you will independently diagnose, service, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment, including: • Water Source Heat Pump systems (Horizontal and Vertical) • Cooling towers (40 to 250+ tons), mechanical yards, boilers, pumps, and VFD systems • Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers (small to large tonnage) • Hydronic piping systems: condenser water, chilled water, hot water, refrigeration, and condensate systems • Ventilation systems, including 100% outside air (OA), exhaust systems (general, environmental, chemical, and process) • Four-pipe systems (chilled water and heating hot water) • Rooftop packaged units, split systems, and conventional DX systems • VRF / VRV systems, including heat recovery systems (installation and service experience preferred) • VAV systems and associated hot water heating systems • Duct systems, including S&D, TDC, stainless steel, coated PVS, and custom sheet metal fabrication Additional Responsibilities Include: • Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control systems • Lead service calls independently and provide technical guidance when needed • Support installation, repair, and preventive maintenance programs • Mentor and assist junior technicians in troubleshooting and best practices • Communicate professionally with customers regarding system conditions and recommendations • Accurately complete service reports and documentation using mobile applications • Maintain safety standards and company quality expectations Qualifications: • Candidate must obtain required state and local HVAC technician licenses • Candidate must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license • Provide outstanding communication to a diverse group of customers and a good problem-solver • Ability to lift 50 lbs or 100 lbs with aid • We require candidates have a high school diploma or GED • Minimum 7+ years of commercial HVAC service experience • Strong experience with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and advanced HVAC systems • Proficient in electrical diagnostics, piping systems, and controls troubleshooting • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong customer service and communication skills • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders and rooftops • Basic trade tools required • Ability to use mobile service applications and digital reporting tools Preferred (but not required): • VRF / VRV certifications • HVAC technical school or formal training • Experience mentoring technicians • Sheet metal fabrication experience Compensation: $40 - $65 hourly
