    Hiring for Part Time - Saturdays and Sundays

    The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for inspecting rooms after they are cleaned by the Room Attendants. The Housekeeping Inspector will work closely with the Housekeepers, Housekeeping Supervisors, and Front Desk. The Housekeeping Inspector is required to adhere to the mission and values of Widewaters Hotels, LLC.

    What you will be doing

    The Housekeeping Inspector is focused and responsible for the following:

    Assess inventory of stock rooms, carts and designated inventories.

    Inspect rooms for cleanliness to pass Quality Assurance Inspections as well as WHL Outstanding Physical Product Audit.

    Issue supplies and equipment to associates.

    Meet room goals to ensure all rooms are cleaned in the appropriate amount of time.

    Conduct regular inspections of guest’s room and provide feedback and additional training to staff.

    Manage guests housekeeping concerns in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor/Executive Housekeeper.

    Open and closes housekeeping department in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisors/Executive Housekeeper.

    Provide front desk with lost and found items for documentation and following up on each item.

    Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure hotel is achieving high levels of guest satisfaction.

    Must have a positive attitude at all times.

    Interact with all employees in the Housekeeping & Laundry Department and evaluate, train, coach, counsel, and provide leadership support.

    Ensure housekeeping staff have the proper tools to do their jobs, and that training has been provided to ensure that they are used properly and are in proper working order.

    Demonstrate effective leadership.

    Respond to special guest request in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

    Perform Room Attendant/Houseman duties as needed or as assigned.

    Communicate and coordinate with Engineering & General Manager to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms and public areas, as needed.

    Administer and complete training on all company/brand requirements.

    Assists others as needed and special projects, as necessary.

    Complete work order system for guest room and public areas.

    Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.

    Ensure rooms are in excellent condition at all times, and that they are clearly inspected thoroughly prior to “Property Operational Audit” and also for any brand quality assurance audit if applicable.

    Address any concerns from property audits and involve General Manager where necessary.

    Understand fire exit and extinguisher locations, and follow all hotel safety rules and procedures.

    Requirements

    High School Degree or Equivalent.

    Previous housekeeping experience required.

    Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

    Must possess a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry and have sound administrative skills.

    Knowledge of basic math and analytical skills.

    Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Must possess basic computational ability.

    Must possess basic computer skills.

    Ability to supervise situations and accomplish goals on a timely basis.
