    The Hyatt Place Columbus/OSU located in the Grandview Yard is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our Guest Service team. The Operations Supervisor is the point person in the Gallery, meetings, and housekeeping. He/ She will report to the General Manager, Assistant Managers, and Director of Sales.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide first contact for guest concerns.

    Training of new Gallery Hosts and Housekeeping Hosts.

    Conduct shift meetings to ensure clear communication of the day’s events to all staff.

    Oversee daily completion of Gallery Host checklist.

    Maintain Inventory of food & beverage, guest room supplies, and cleaning supplies.

    Oversee group reservations to ensure that they are pre-assigned and pre-keyed.

    Initiate scheduling and assignments for housekeeping department.

    Walk through of public areas and kitchen with follow-up report/checklist to management.

    Responsible for overseeing proper meeting room set up/tear down for internal and external clients.

    Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and brand standards.

    Management and scheduling of deep cleaning program.

    Processing housekeeping time sheets.

    Maintain work order log and report any guest room concerns to Chief Engineer.

    Act as MOD in the absence of management.

    Any other tasks as deemed by management.

    Required Skills:

    Schedule flexibility – available to work any shift.

    Outstanding customer service skills.

    Ability to work well with other associates.

    A desire and the ability to grow into a management role is preferred.

    Required Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED.

    Six months’ experience as a Gallery Host or other qualified hotel experience.

    Valid State driver’s license.
