About the Role
Scenthound St. Augustine is seeking an outgoing, dependable, and customer-focused team member to join us as a Hybrid Member Associate & Virtual Receptionist. This is a unique opportunity to combine in-person customer engagement with at-home scheduling and communication work. You’ll help dog parents understand the benefits of routine wellness care, support our growing membership base, and ensure every guest — both human and canine — has a great experience.
While this role includes remote work, it comes with clear expectations and structured accountability — communication, responsiveness, and performance will be actively monitored to ensure consistency and quality. We’re looking for someone who thrives under that kind of structure and takes pride in being reliable, disciplined, and proactive.
What You’ll Do
In-Store (2 Days per Week)
Welcome and check in customers with a friendly, professional attitude
Educate guests on Scenthound’s membership benefits and drive membership sign-ups
Build relationships with dog parents and assist with scheduling future visits
Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive front desk environment
Remote (2 Days per Week)
Answer inbound phone calls and return voicemails promptly and professionally
Follow up on leads and trial visits to encourage rebooking and memberships
Manage appointment requests, reminders, and cancellations through our scheduling system
Communicate closely with the in-store team to maintain smooth operations
What We’re Looking For
Friendly, professional communicator who genuinely enjoys helping people
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently — with accountability
Reliable and punctual; consistency is key for both in-store and remote days
Organized and tech-savvy (comfortable using scheduling software, email, and phone systems)
Sales, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred, but not required
Must have a quiet home workspace with your own laptop, internet, and headset
Schedule
This is a full-time role averaging 32 hours per week, with a consistent schedule and clear expectations.
Typical hours: 8:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
In-store: Saturdays (required) and one additional weekday — usually the busier day that week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday)
Remote: Two weekdays from home, following the same general 8:45–5:00 schedule
