THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- Maintain, coordinate and control the financial reporting calendar, meeting reporting deadlines.
- Perform account analysis and activity reviews on all major accounts and/or account groupings to ensure accurate reporting, timely identification of active items, and G/L to sub-system reconciliation.
- Prepare and distribute the monthly financial reporting package.
- Prepare supporting work papers and/or draft reports for the annual audit, SEC reporting, tax return filing, etc.
- Manages Credit Control and Payroll functions
- Maintain corporate fixed assets sub-system and related control and reporting activities.
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
- Interact with all coworkers and management in a positive, supportive and cooperative way.

Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA.
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and practices (General Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Working knowledge of computer systems (mainframe and personal computer).
- 10-key calculator by touch.
Experience:
- 5+ years in similar position with full responsibility for complete general ledger and financial reporting, including supervision of accounting staff. Manufacturing experience required.
- Life science experience a plus.
- International FX and VAT experience a plus.
- SEC public reporting a plus.
