Sales Representative- Hoses & Fittings Hydraulic Products
Job Description
SUMMARY
The Hydraulax Products SALES REPRESENTATIVE supports his/her Sales Manager by providing account management, new business development and technical sales support. Areas of focus will be presenting and supporting hydraulic hose and fitting applications, maintaining existing accounts while developing new sales opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Sustain and build sales of hydraulic hose and fitting products in the assigned territory through direct sales.
Ability to professionally represent Hydraulax Products as a hydraulic hose and fitting professional within assigned territory.
· Leadership and organizational skills to manage and coordinate activities of several programs simultaneously.
· Ability to provide technical and sales support to key engineering contacts
· Support OEM's and end users quoting key components of hydraulic hose systems.
· Maintain existing accounts while developing new accounts.
· Develop and maintain sales pipeline for growth opportunities
· Convert targets into new accounts in similar applications and markets.
· Work closely with his/her manager to maintain regular sales calls with customer engineers, buyers and program managers.
· Provide weekly updates of customer programs and new business development.
· Ability to create sales strategy and execute the plan.
· Relationship management through constant customer contact, serve as primary contact for all communication with customers
· When necessary may perform other typical duties.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's or technical degree –preferably in a business-technical discipline.
· 3-5 years hydraulic sales experience in direct or indirect sales.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong presentation and computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Power-Point.
· Develop relationships with multiple level organizations, internal and external.
· Basic understanding of reading prints and understand part tolerances.
· Strong competitive drive, self-directing and need to win mindset.
· High personal confidence and ability to be assertive while being diplomatic.
· Demonstrate honesty, keep commitments, and behave in a consistent manner.
· Ability to effectively network inside and outside the organization to provide information, assistance and support. Handle conflict effectively and diplomatically.
· Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize. Also, ability to say no with humble style.
· Must live in the immediate area of the assigned marketplace
· Daily travel in assigned territory.
