The ACCOUNT CLERK-SALES ORDER ENTRY position performs financial and accounting related activities including sales order entry, accounts payable duties and any other accounting tasks as assigned. This position will be splitting their focus, 60% on sales order entry and 40% on tasks and special projects to support the Accounting/Corporate Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sales order entry from customer purchase orders
Track customer progress payments and invoices with Accounts Receivable Accountant
Liaison with the sales team and cross functional team support
Month-end close support to Accounting team
Special ad-hoc projects to support the extended accounting team
Effective and pro-active change agent for process improvements
Files and maintains accounting records and reports
Assist in entering Accounts Payable GL invoicing
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft suite of products
Attention to accuracy and detail required
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication
Associate degree in Finance or Accounting or other relevant experience
At least 2 years of manufacturing finance/accounting or other relevant experience
Ability to establish priorities and work independently
Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems with internal and external customers in a matrixed environment
Strong analytical, decision-making and multi-tasking skills
