    Job Description

    As a Financial Engineer you work closely with our finance and development team to solve critical business needs. You will design, develop, automate, and support complex applications to extract, transform, and load data. To succeed in this job you must have a good understanding of financial concepts including general ledger, inventory, reconciliations, AR/AP and cash flows. You are part of our cross-functional engineering team helping to solve the challenges that impact business and financial leaders.

    OBJECTIVES

    • Develop new features in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
    • Help develop, deploy, and maintain BI tools and interfaces as needed
    • Move l arge amounts of data between multiple systems in a timely and stable manner
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, data models, data mapping and transform rules
    • Work with development methodologies, adhering to best practices
     
    

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work closely with the data engineering team to determine reporting requirements and implementation.
    • Maintain and understand existing business critical financial systems including Netsuite and Acumatica
    • Reading, analyzing, and transforming data into consumable data models
    • Working with our pipeline to extract, transform and load data from multiple systems and APIs
    • Code review and guidance for best practices, functionality and quality assurance
    • Work with 3rd party vendors to help migrate ERP financial systems
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering or equivalent experience in the engineering field
    • Experience using RESTful APIs
    • Understanding of accounting practices, AR/AP, Inventory management, Credits and Debits
    • Experience with Business Objects/BI, Tableau and other query and reporting tools.
    • Experience with Netsuite, Acumatica or other equivalent accounting software
    • Excellent debugging and optimization skills
    • Experience with M&A a plus
