Title: Finance Assistant

Summary:
Under the direction of the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Assistant will perform accounting and finance duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for entering accounts payable invoices into accounting system.
Logging front desk deposits, credit card payments, and mail in checks.
Reconcile invoices and deposits using Intact Software, Excel, and EClinicalWorks and Monitor cash collections, reconciliations, and bank deposits.
Opening and distributing mail
Processes payroll bi-weekly
Assists with Payroll and timekeeping/timecards.
Assists in posting jobs, interviewing candidates, and employee orientation process
Accounts receivable and Accounts payable.
Assists in budget preparation for Health Center and various programs.
Assists in preparation of monthly financial reports.
Assists in developing financial and administration policies and procedures.
Assists with HRSA grants documentation, budgets, and reporting
Assists with other contributions and grant documentation, budgets, and reporting as needed.
Complies with all Health Center policies and procedures concerning corporate compliance, including privacy of protected health information.
Perform related work as required and other duties as assigned by the Deputy CFO.
Qualifications:
· Associates Degree in Finance or Accounting
· Minimum of two years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping in a health care setting
· Ability to travel to all locations
· Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping practices such as: Accounts Payable and Payroll processes
· Ability to use computer accounting software, as well as other computer applications
Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
Function as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and Health Center information
Must be able to work with numbers, paying close attention to accuracy and detail.
