    Job Description

    Build the business foundation to deliver a radical new design application into a $12 trillion global industry.

    As Hypar's Business Development Specialist, you will work with a world class team of building professionals and software engineers from Autodesk, Google, and WeWork who are defining the future of design, leading Architosh Magazine to proclaim "Hypar seems radical in the same way iPhone apps seemed radical when Apple first introduced the iPhone."

    You will be responsible for creating the business strategy to scale one of the most radical new design applications built for AEC in a generation. Your strong bias towards action and your desire to experiment and iterate quickly will be key in discovering and developing Hypar's target markets in a $12 trillion global industry. The strong business foundation that you create will enable Hypar to profitably pursue our mission of delivering the world's building expertise to realize better buildings.

    OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

    • Pre-qualify leads in the Real Estate, Building Product Manufacturer, and General Contracting sectors.
    • Work with the executive team to close consulting and licensing deals.
    • Identify sector trends and requirements to bring focus to product development.
    • Manage existing sales pipeline and cultivate new business opportunities.
    • Prepare sectors for product and platform adoption.
    • Improve market sector penetration.
    • Expand key account commitments.
    • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities, partnerships, and investments.
    • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short-, medium-, and long-term sales pipeline in accordance with growth targets.
    • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and delegate tasks supporting strategic goals.

    DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Measure impact through quarterly objectives and key results.
    • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers.
    • Meet regularly with management and stakeholders to determine strategy
    • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements and content creation, with inputs from various sources.
    • Generate new leads, identify and contact corporate decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, pursue deals supporting corporate mission and strategies, lead and facilitate pitch and negotiation logistics.
    • Develop and implement sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company.
    • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.
    • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.

    WORK HOURS AND BENEFITS

    • Work wherever you like. Hypar currently has employees in 5 states and two countries.
    • Travel required for customer meetings and conferences where absolutely necessary. Travel not expected to exceed 1 week of travel in any month.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or management.
    • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
    • Working experience with sales techniques.
    • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Proven ability to plan and manage resources.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience working in architecture, engineering, construction, or real estate.
    • Experience with SaaS product business development.
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations.
