Hybrid Powertrain EMS Development Engineer
Job Description
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) in Chino, CA is looking for Hybrid Powertrain EMS Development Engineer that will:
Verifies HEV EMS functionality by assessing its ability to meet Emissions, Fuel Economy & Driveability requirements
Verifies OBD functionality by assessing its ability to meet on board diagnostics regulatory requirements
Calibrates OBD functions for mass production applications ensuring:Supports software and calibration updates on OBD fleet vehicles.
Support software and calibration updates and technical investigations of pilot vehicles at the Manufacturing Plants
Assist in the investigation of field claims. Propose suitable solutions.
Create and present technical reports and presentations for management reviews.
Support CARB Technical reviews
Perform basic administrative functions such as budget tracking, timecard, vacation requests, travel requests, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Physics
Valid Driver's License
1 year of experience with Engine management and hybrid powertrain management systems
Ability to post process data, compiling and extracting information of interest from data files
Good understanding of Internal Combustion Engines operation
Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; MS Internet Explorer; MS Project
Ability to travel domestically (15%) & Internationally (5%)
Ability to work in harsh climate environments (Winter -40°F,Summer +120°F altitude up to 14,000 ft)
