  • Responsibilities

    JOB FUNCTION:

    1. This is a non-supervisory role that provides analytical support to the Procurement team by providing timely, accurate and relevant information to guide management in decision making and maximizing the Company’s profitability.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Solicit and evaluate bids and award purchase orders for the optimum combination of price, delivery, and service.
    2. Generate purchase orders from requisitions.
    3. Perform necessary follow up to order completion.
    4. Investigate and resolve PO issues.
    5. Maintain close relationships with key business stakeholders in the field and in the corporate office to understand requirements and lead procurement efforts from requisition to payment for various spend categories.
    6. Support requests for assistance/information that are submitted through the ProcurementHelp system.
    7. Create reports and perform analysis as required.
    8. Support the Procurement Department’s vision in developing a procurement process with supporting tools.
    9. Manage supplier relationships for various spend categories to help drive continuous improvement.
    10. Contribute to the automation of routine tasks/activities and continuous process improvement.
    11. Support sourcing process by extracting and analyzing data from various sources to effectively improve commercial decisions.
    12. Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure Early Payment Discounts are realized and suppliers are invoicing in accordance with their contract terms.
    13. Support data requests from the Director of Procurement and CFO.
    14. Report savings methodologies and calculations.
    15. Complete various daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual reports using Microsoft Excel, JD Edwards or Business Objects.
    16. Performs other duties as required.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or relevant work history.   
    2. Minimum 2 years’ similar work experience in an office environment.  Experience in Procurement preferred, but not required.
    3. Attention to detail and proficient at problem solving.
    4. Adaptable to changing priorities and requirements.
    5. Demonstrated ability to efficiently/effectively multi-task.
    6. Strong analytical and data management skills.
    7. Strong computer proficiency: Microsoft applications and ERP environments (JD Edwards is beneficial).
    8. Must be resourceful, driven, self-accountable, and flexible in a demanding fast paced team environment.
    9. Strong communication skills – listening, verbal, written, and presentation
    10. Exposure to different cultures and adverse environments
    11. The ability to interact with all levels of the organization
