  • Responsibilities

    Perform and support others with engineering telemetry networks: the ‘Internal Data Network’ (IDN) and the Management Network’  As the workload comes in, the responsibilities vary across the following tasks.  Research and allocate Ethernet ports and IP addresses as well as Asynchronous Router ports.  Draft detailed instructions, order material, update ICON inventory system/database and coordinate project builds for the IDN network.  Engineering deliverables will include but not be limited to installation instructions, database updates and power/floor/rack/card/port/cabling assignments all while following Network Equipment Engineering standards.  Interface with Field Personnel for site-specific challenges.  Provide timely reporting of project progress and issues.  Lead project efforts as well as completing the following tasks - manage conference calls, email communications, document/drawing creation and extensive record keeping.  The Engineer should require little supervision after getting up to speed. Required Skills & Experience  College Degree or equivalent experience in Telecom Engineering or Network Equipment and Support.  3+ years in the Telecom industry  Solid understanding of networks and telecom equipment.  IP networking knowledge is a plus.  Strong project management capabilities as well as excellent PC and software application skills including Windows and MS Office needed.  Excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational communications are a must.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Access Control Specialist needed to support large facility in Bethesda, MD. This is a Full Time Weekday position, 7:30-4pm.

    Specialists are responsible for providing administrative security services to the compound. Duties are performed in an industrial security office with requirements to obtain security clearances on employees and visitors that is needed to assist in arranging visit authorizations to gain access to restricted areas. Access Control Specialists are consistently engaged with the customers over various security needs. Duties include:

    • Creating and issuing badges
    • Granting and removing access to restricted areas
    • Responding via email to customers questions and inquires
    • Coordination with other agencies on various issues
    • Taking photos for various requirements
    • Perform conference coordination at customer request
    • Interaction with compound security on possible security issues to help develop security policies and/or procedures
    • Oversee parking requirements
    • Implementing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of six months recent access control experience.
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes)
    • An active Top Secret clearance with Full scope Polygraph
