  • Responsibilities

    The main purpose of this position is to focus on office support including but not limited to, data entry into HWSTF database, facility and satellite collection area inspections, and facilitating customer orders for Contract-provided services.

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Input received HW disposal requests into NAWS China Lake HW database
    • Assist with supply and materials inventory
    • Inspect vehicle and weight handling equipment
    • Provide administrative and technical support to HWSTF customers
    • Participate in all HW training
    • Daily and weekly inspections of HWSTF facility and satellite collection areas
    • Assist with Navy and regulatory agency inspections
    • Complete delivery orders and prepare shipping documentation for off-station shipments
    • Coordinate contract service deliveries
    • Complete all post-shipment documentation
    • Complete requests for acceptance, pick up, confirmation of requests, receiving of and processing of hazardous waster at the HWSTF and satellite areas
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

     

    • High school diploma
    • Two years of experience in HW administrative/production work tasks.
    • Completion of 24 or 40 hour HAZWOPR course (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120)
    • Current medical examination will be required
    • Preferred, but not initially required:
    • CA commercial Class B driver’s license with Hazardous Material, Tanker and Air Brakes endorsement
    • Government license material handling equipment for forklift
