    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | SUMMARY: | | | | The Training & Standardization Manager (TSM) is responsible for the | | overall management of Air Traffic Control training services. The TSM | | develops and implements training criteria for the qualification of Air | | Traffic Controllers in the Tower and Radar Approach Control facilities. | | The TSM assists in the development of IFR/VFR procedures, conducts | | facility evaluations and position certifications, and accomplishes | | annual reviews of training products and air traffic control | | publications. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (not limited to duties as described – performs | | related duties as requested) | | | |   | | | | - The TSM develops and maintains the ATC Training Operating | | Instruction to outline key components of the ATC training program to | | include upgrade and qualification training requirements. | | - Develop and maintain Position Certification Guides (PCGs) and | | facility master training plans. | | - Coordinate training requirements with the Air Traffic Manager (ATM) | | and Facility Chief Controller (CCTLR). | | - Develop and administer all controller testing and | | evaluation requirements. | | - Develop and disburse monthly training requirements. | | | | Inspect training record documentation for accuracy, completeness and | | standardization. Provide the ATC staff with inspection results at least | | monthly. | | Participate in the Training Review Boards and Airfield Operations | | Boards, briefing required items as necessary. | | Perform position certification/facility ratings and | | controller/special/annual evaluations using standards published in the | | facility PCGs. | | Implement and manage the IAP Quality Assurance program. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

    Required Experience

    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: | | | | - Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. | | - Successful completion of a FAA, DoD, or ICAO air traffic | | control course. | | - Must have 5 years experience as a Training Manager/Supervisor in an | | FAA or DoD facility. | | - A minimum of 7 years of experience in a like air traffic control | | facility is required. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS: | | | | - Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport. | | - Maintain ATC facility ratings IAW AFI 13-204 Vol 3. | | - Required to maintain a current FAA Class II Medical clearance (FAA | | Form 8500-9 or equivalent) | | - CTO license as appropriate &/or FAA form 7220-1 or equivalent. | | - Must have valid U.S. Driver’s License and be able to operate a | | vehicle with a manual transmission. | | - May be required to obtain a military flight line driver’s license. | | - Must complete the NCOIC, ATC Training and the NCOIC, ATC | | Standardization and Evaluation Qualification Training | | Packages (QTPs) within 6 months of assignment. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
