    THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.

    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    Provide assistance in the design of approved changes to the RSNF Systems baseline, including support to the development of solutions to reported hardware and software problems, evaluation of the feasibility and impact of proposed changes, preparation of design documents, and conduct of design walk-throughs and reviews. Provide technical assistance for the O&M of mobile communication systems. Support the technical verification and coordination of Implementation Plans. Support the development, revision, update, and maintenance of operational and Technical Data Package (TDP) documentation, including system and subsystem specifications, hardware/system documentation, hardware and software specifications, engineering plans, and engineering drawings (in AutoCAD format). Support the gathering of operational requirements and support systems analysis to identify technical requirements in support of upgraded, refurbished, and newly fielded RSNF Systems and ancillary subsystems. Support the analysis and evaluation of deployed RSNF Systems, recommend parts required for sustaining and repairing deployed systems, and install and integrate sustainment and repair parts. Support the development, analysis, and implementation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).

     

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (OR EQUIVALENT)

    REQUIRED:

    • Five+ (5) years of experience as an engineer supporting C4I systems such as GCCS, NAVMACS, HF, UHF, and VHF Radios and Antennas, Tactical Data Links (Link-11, 16, 22), CENTRIXS, Network Communications, SATCOM, ADSI, or VBSS.
    • Three+ (3) years of experience working with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment such as radars, Global Positioning System (GPS), Automated Information System (AIS), Radio Direction Finding, electro-optic (EO) cameras, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS); Audio Processing System (APS); Emergency Radio System; Fiber Optic Transport Network (FPTN); Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems; Video Display Systems; or Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Systems.
    • Experience working OCONUS in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for US military bases or US Government (USG) facilities).
    • Experience interacting with USG and foreign senior military/government officials.
    • Experience with foreign disclosure reviews or similar experience such as sanitizing technical documentation.
    • Experience performing requirements analysis, including activities such as site surveys, System Operation Verification Tests (SOVTs).
    • Experience in researching and conducting analysis of alternatives (AoAs) of COTS products.
    • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field from an accredited college or university.
    • US SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.

    DESIRED:

    • Three+ (3) years of experience with NAVWAR prime mission products.
    • Three+ (3) years of experience supporting Systems Engineering and Technical Reviews (SETR).
    • Completion of DISAM SCM courses such as SCM-C.
    • DISAM International Affairs Certification Level 1 or above.
    • Experience working in austere locations (e.g., Middle Eastern nations) in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for US military bases or USG facilities).
    • Experience developing and maintaining IMSs and the ability to present the IMS in multiple formats, including MS Project and MS PowerPoint (or similar software).
    • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Engineering.
