POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Software Developer will support the development of Digital Thread Additive Manufacturing (DTAM) for Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) Pacific.
PRIMARY/MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
DTAM is a Navy-wide enterprise system that provides for the framework and workflows to accelerate development and deployment of a material system. This material system will be the result of an integration effort to provide for 3D Print Exchange and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) capabilities using networked systems worldwide that will ultimately provide for a 3-D Printing capability to both U.S. Navy CONUS and OCONUS ships/sites. The intent of onsite 3-D Printing capability is to allow for both novel and legacy component creation for systems in a tactical environment.
Required Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline
- U.S. Citizenship status required.
- Must have or ability to get a SECRET security clearance.
- 3+ years of experience developing full stack web applications.
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript.
- 3+ years of experience using JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, jQuery).
- 3+ years of experience with HTML/CSS.
- 3+ years of experience querying and persisting databases.
- 3+ years of experience with Docker or similar container environments
- 3+ years of experience with REST API development
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with React a big plus.
- Experience with Django REST API a big plus.
- Experience with Node/NPM.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL databases
- Exposure to AWS EC2 and ECS.
- Experience with pdf SDKs and/or mesh file conversions
- Passionate about UI/UX.
- Expertise with responsive design.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline or similar.
- Experience with Openshift or equivalent.
- Experience with Docker or similar container environments
- Experience working within Scrum methodology.
- Experience with development lifecycle tools & processes, build systems, branching & merging, and automated testing.
- Experience in Linux and Windows systems
- Passionate about software development and willing to learn and to help others.
- Functional with technologies across most of the application stack including user interface, middle tier, database systems, and pipeline.
- Work to address and mitigate system vulnerabilities.
