Job Description: Network Supply Chain Strategy & Analytics Team is looking for an experienced data scientist to work on a project over the course of 3 months. The objective is to develop in-house capabilities for logistics modeling. The successful candidate will (i) work with Network Supply Chain Strategy & Analytics team to create basic mathematical programming models (using IBM Ilog Cplex), (ii) analyze raw data (inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing costs, transportation costs, etc.) to estimate the parameters of optimization models, (iii) generate multiple design options for wireless network logistics system, and evaluate alternatives using the models developed. Project deliverables are (i) mathematical programming models, (ii) procedures and codes (in R or Python) for data analysis for estimating model parameters, (iii) a design proposal for wireless network logistics system. Qualification requirements: (i) working knowledge of R or Python with Pandas or any other statistical modeling language/tool is necessary, (ii) working knowledge of IBM Ilog Cplex for mathematical programming is necessary, (iii) supply chain knowledge and/or experience is necessary, (iv) familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Power BI) is preferred.
