    Qualifications

    • Must hold a degree or certification in safety, engineering, aviation, or possess equivalent experience

    • Knowledge and experience managing the FAA Safety Management System (14CFR Part)

    • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis

    • Excellent typing skills

    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

    • Knowledge of electronic file management

    • Experience in sorting, organizing and filing documents

    • Able to work independently and in a group environment

    • Able to effectively interact with all levels of the IAero Airways staff and field personnel.

    • Must reside in Greensboro, NC

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    • The Safety Analyst is responsible for assisting the Director of Safety and SMS Manager in accomplishing Safety related tasks to establish compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, to include but not limited to:

      1. Maintaining employee inclusion in safety reporting websites and databases
      2. Managing the IAero confidential reporting process (ASAP Program)
      3. Managing the Internal Evaluation Program
      4. Completing Internal Evaluation Audits
      5. Processing incoming incident reports
      6. Support accomplishing safety incident investigations
      7. Managing the IAero Airways Flight Data analysis process (FDM/FOQA)
      8. Actively tracking the documentation and completion of SRAs
      9. Supporting the resolution of FAA Compliance Action letters and Voluntary Self Disclosures
      10. Support the preparation for, accomplishment of, and reaction to findings of, external customer audits.
    • The Safety Analyst is also responsible for supporting Aviation Safety processes as required.

    • Acts as an information conduit to bring safety and compliance issues to the attention of management and to deliver safety information to the organization’s staff, contractors and stakeholders

    • Assists in the continuous improvement of the hazard identification and safety risk assessment schemes and the organization’s SMS

    • Analyses technical data for trends related to hazards, events and occurrences

    • Foster positive relationships with regulatory authorities, agencies and service providers outside the organization

    • Demonstrate an excellent safety behavior and attitude, follows regulatory practices and rules, recognize and promote hazard reporting and ensure effective safety reporting

    • Investigate opportunities to increase the efficiency of processes

    • Measure the effectiveness and seek to continually improve the quality of processes

    • Keep the DOS, SMS Manager and other members of the 119 group aware of the status of safety issues in progress

    • Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of SMS actions

    • Support the development, conduct, and document SMS training for IAero Airways Staff

    • Accomplish other duties and projects as directed by the Director of Safety.
